Gettin a coyote with a bow would be fun! Problem never know for sure when to draw back as they could come in at anytime, either slow and cautious or on a dead run. You dont dare move when you see them unless you are totally concealed as they will bolt at the slightest movement. So the problem of when to draw back arrow, cant hold it back indefinitely. I have hunted deer, elk and grouse with bow but never coyotes. Guess when they come in on the fight I want to know I am ready and with something that will put them down. Has been many times we have killed our coyotes within 5 feet of us when they have made that lunge to attack. But of course we have our whites on and sittin in the snow or in bushes in the snow and sometimes see them coming in but lose sight as we are sitting low enough, and then all of a sudden they are on top of us. Talk about an adrenaline rush! Hmmmm, Guess I'll ask Eric to bring that 300 mag then when I go! ;D

Re: "compensated barrel". I have three G-21s, and the only one with slotted barrel ( orig. as made by Glock) is better used only in the daylight !! At night there is a terrific above-the-barrel flash on each side of the tube, which may calm down recoil, but blinded me the first time I used it after dark. Guess I should eat more carrots. BTW, there is a very user-friendly Gunshop in x.....x, IN : x...E-mail me for name...x. Not a pawnshop, and he has over 1,000 guns. Last time I checked he had two G-21s. I did not ask price, but think I saw tags @ $350 or so. He has no hi-cap mags.
