A little background on Pappa Smurf before I present the photos for you to see.
Pappa Smurf is the nickname we gave a very close friend of mine because he is so short and has a big beard. His real name is Brady Gaines and he is my old archery coach. He got me started in archery and I owe him a lot!
Yesterday I finished building Papa Smurf a long bow and a custom set of arrows. Ellen finished a homemade Traditional Back Quiver for his set up today. So being an overly excitable Smurf like he is he just couldn't wait to get out and shoot his new gear!
Here's Pappa Smurf heading out to the deep woods in search of the mighty and Illusive Gargantuan McKenzie 3D deer:

Within a matter of minutes, Pappa Smurf has spotted the mighty and Illusive, Gargantuan, McKenzie 3D deer and has shot a wonderful, tight grouping of arrows into the kill zone.

Unfortunately for Pappa Smurf, his bow is quite under-powered, so even with so many arrows in such a tight group, it will take quite a while for the mighty and Illusive, Gargantuan, McKenzie 3D deer to succumb to his skills. So he asked me to take a photo or two, so he could show off his equipment:

Well, it seems that the mighty and Illusive, Gargantuan, McKenzie 3D deer is finally down, so Pappa Smurf can show off his trophy:

I tell you what, it's a Proud and happy day in Smurfsville! Congratulations Pappa Smurf! That's a mighty fine trophy animal that you harvested!
Thank you Brady for teaching me so well in the sport of archery! Also, thank you all for taking the time to read this little story!
Isn't this a whole lot better than those threads that I post that have a hideous face jump out and scream at you?
