I had a Vector Wheel on one of my PSE Mach-11's crap out on me the other day. I had been shooting it and grouping fantastic. I drew the bow to shoot my last arrow and as I came to full draw and was ready to setting into my anchor points and back tension it made a really strange CLUNK! I let down as slowly as possible, ready to have something Terrible happen. Nothing happened as it let down Thank Goodness!
After the letdown after I calmed down a little, I carefully inspected the bow to see what went wrong. I found on the bottom Vector one of the fingers that form the slot had somehow bent outward and downward towards the next slot. This allowed the cable to slip out of the slot and JUMP to another slot. Here's a photo of what I found:
I could not believe my eyes, and for the life of me, I can't figure out what caused it! My used to be PSE dealer said that I must have dropped the bow or banged it real hard!
Man, I Never, Ever Bang or Drop my bows!!!!!!!!! I treat them very CAREFULLY, I hang them on a peg as I walk to the target and when I'm done shooting they go back into a case!
He also would not do the Warranty Work for me because he said I had caused the problem!!! Notice: I said Used to be dealer!!!!!!!!! He's also mad at me because I bought the Mach-11 for a Really Good Price from another PSE Dealer!
So, I made a call to my friend Shel at ProString Archery in Mora, MN.
He arranged with a PSE Dealer that he knows and trusts to get my cams replaced. That dealer already called PSE and has a set of cams coming to replace my bad ones! Now that's Great Service from a Dealer that I have never seen!!!! I took them off the bow, packaged them up and shipped them via Express Mail to him. Hopefully I will have my baby back up and shooting very soon!
