Thanks for the link Max. I would like to get me another CJ-7 some day. I sure miss being able to just go out and give er hell without the worries of screwing up my daily driver.

Yep _ I know exactly what you mean - I always have to limit how far I push it, cant wheel if I dont work, and cant work if I bust my wheeler! I too would live a project jeep. Something I could beat the heck out of without worries. Someday!

You guys know of any company that makes a dog barrier/cage for a Jeep Wangeler? I want to keep my dog out of the front seats of my Jeep. I have seen these things made for SUV's been have not seen them used in Jeeps. Got any ideas?

Quadratec has one - Pretty extensive site for all things offroad, alot of JEEP stuff and more. I'd just order their cataloge - there is one in there. If I can get down your way I'll bring it with. www.quadratec.comI might end up doing the brakes here Ed, I do appreciate your offer tho. They are pretty bad so I better have them done before I drive. I still think we all outta meet up down the in the Springs and either do some light wheelin, exploring, fishin or at least do the burgers and beer still!

Max,
I hope the brakes go well for you. If you have not done them yet and need help, or just need someone to drink a beer with you while you work, I could come up that way and probably talk Ed into coming with. Let me know how your project is going if you have already started it.
Ed,
I hope you found what you are looking for. I like that Quadratech website. The one thing I hate about my Jeep is that I find it is very easy to spend money on your Jeep, even when you don't want to!! ;D

LOL! I'm sure you would like to spend my money! Actually, the Jeep is on hold until my truck project is done. My 454 engine is in the shop now getting worked.

Hey Ed,
I found a roof rack on quadratec for $400 that will let you put your soft top down by just releasing two threaded knobs on the front support. It is the lowest priced one I have seen and looks like it is good quality. I know you are wanting to finish your truck first but I just wanted to let you know it is there. Did you happen to catch the show Trucks! on Spike TV? They just modified a brand new TJ and made it REAL nice! I was a pretty sweet build up. They put a 4" lift, snorkle, 35X12.50 AT's, bumbers, winch, seats, rock rails and some other things that I am probably forgetting but it looked sweet when they got done with it. Let's do that to your Jeep! ;D Since I can't afford to do it to mine lets spend your money and I will help you work on it!!! ;D Seriously though, it did look great and I would like to do all the mods they did on the show to my Jeep some day. Quadratec also has new gears (4.88) for the TJ that they claim you can't live without if you have tires larger than 33's. I might look into those gears with some lockers when I get some extra cash.

Eric Thanks for keeping an eye out for me Eric. But for now I'm going to hold of until I know how much my engine is going to cost. It's in the shop now. I forgot to tell ya but my girlfriend works for Dodge and get Mopar stuff for 10% of cost. So if you need anything (toys) for your Jeep, let me know! Sorry, missed to TV show on the trucks. Sounds like I missed a good one too! Ed

You know, 10% of cost sounded a lot better!!! ;D I should have talked to you about the output shaft. Turns out the guy was not able to get a new one so he had to put a used one in it. I am glad he was able to get a used one for me but I don't know what kind of stress it has been under so I better get a new one to keep on hand for a back-up in case this happens again. I will call Faricy and see what it would cost for one of those and see what it would cost at some other places. I might be checking into getting some of the factory fog lights and wire harness for the. If not the lights I would like to get the factory swith and wire harness for a clean installation.
