I am up and runnin with the fly fishing game. I just got me a nice cortland 8'6" 5/6 wt rod off of ebay for $37.50 and I found a nice reel at Glayans for $30. It is the click drag type but it should work fine. Now I just need to figure out the backer and line and I will be in there. I have been fishing a couple of times now with a borrowed pole and had a great time. I only fell in twice and broke the handle off of the borrowed reel once!! haha that was a scary slip. I thought I was going in the deep end of a waterfall when I broke the reel. I caught a VERY nice brown trout and a lot of brookies. We were fishing in Wyoming. It was a great time and I got some good pictures. I will have to share them when I get a chance to upload them. This fly fishing deal is a lot of fun. I am glad I decided to get into it.

We are going to try Waterton Canyon south of Denver near Chatfield Res. We gotta mountain bike to the upper canyon - should be fun - I don't know when we are going but everyones invited!!

I am loving the mountain biking scene now that I have a buddy to go with me. I bought a four bike rack for my jeep and it works great! It even fits with the oversized spare tire on my Jeep. I would love to accompany you on this adventure!! I don't have a pack rod but I have been looking at them on ebay. My roommate knows a guy that builds custom rods and he said I would get a good price on one if I told him what I wanted. That sounded pretty good to me!
