Okay guys. Now talk about life as being fair or favored more for others...hahaha. I have been fishin Blue Mesa Reserviour for almost 30 years and seems I always catch the nice eatin size mackinaw of 2-5 pounds, think I have caught one or two over the 5 pound size. I must not be holdin my mouth right or something! Dont get me wrong I love catchin the fish no matter the size or fish. But you would think I would land into at least a 20 pound fish one time or another, we have had a few hooked that may have gone around 20 lbs or so but always manage to set themselves free before we get them to the surface. We have learned a lot over the years on how to fish for the mackinaw we use the same jigs, fish the same depth of water with the jiggin technique. We catch a lot of fish, and have a blast as nothing beats a day out in this beautiful country. Just kind of irritating that someone caught a large fish out of my back door....hahaha. Heres the web site for the article on this fish and the lucky angler. Enjoy!! wildlife.state.co.us/NewsMedia/PressReleases/Press.asp?PressId=4354Hope everyone is havin a great start to the summer!
