This afternoon my brand spanking new ProStrings came in for my Newberry bow, so I decided to put them on. But, I decided to do it without a bow press! The Newberry bows are designed so that you can break them down in the field without needing a bow press. Well, I have never had a Newberry bow apart, so this was a real pleasant learning experience! You simply back the bolts off evenly, 1 turn on the top limb, one turn on the bottom limb and so on until the limbs take the tension off the strings and cables. Within a matter of just a few minutes the new strings and cables were back on and I was beginning to tighten back up on the limb bolts! I tell you what, it wasn't much slower or harder to do than putting a bow in a press and changing strings and cables! Newberry came up with a Fantastic idea when they designed their bows and I have to give them credit for thinking about the hunter/do-it-yourselfer! I sure love my new "GPR Custom Camo" ProStrings and Cables! Man, are they ever pretty and do they ever shoot nice! Dick
